What we collect
- Account info: name, email, company, phone, role (provider/renter).
- Listing info you publish: truck specs, photos, pricing, location.
- Messages and inquiries you send or receive on the platform.
- Usage data: pages viewed, search filters used, devices and approximate location for analytics.
- Payment info handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card numbers.
Cookies and sessions
We use a single first-party cookie to keep you signed in. We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages are popular — it stores no personal information and does not track you across other sites.
How we use your information
- To operate the marketplace — show listings, route inquiries, process payments.
- To send transactional email (account, payment receipts, inquiry alerts).
- To send optional product email you can unsubscribe from with one click in the email or at your settings.
- To detect fraud and abuse.
What we don't do
- We never sell your data.
- We never share your data with third-party advertisers.
- We do not show ads on Vac4Rent.
Sharing
We share information only with vendors that help us operate the platform: InstantDB (database), Vercel (hosting + analytics), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Mapbox (maps). Each of these has their own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your account data anytime from your dashboard, or by emailing privacy@vac4rent.com. We will respond within 30 days.
