Spoils
What is Spoils?
Spoils are the soil, mud, and debris excavated from a dig site; in hydro excavation the spoils mix with water to form a slurry that is vacuumed into the truck's debris body for disposal.
Spoils is the general term for excavated earth material removed from a hole or trench. In hydro excavation, water breaks the ground into a wet spoil called slurry, which the vacuum draws into the debris body rather than piling it on the surface.
Managing spoils properly matters for site cleanliness and disposal compliance, since wet or contaminated spoils must be offloaded at an approved facility. Debris body capacity determines how much spoil a truck can hold before offloading. Vac4Rent connects renters with vacuum excavation equipment sized to handle the expected spoil volume.
